For our first contest with a very young team, I am pleased with the effort given by each member of our team. This was a tough game played heavily on our defensive end but we persisted and improved with every quarter. Our defense was led by senior Adia Henkel. She consistently got the ball out of our circle and to our offense over and over again. We have a lot to iron out overall and our focus in the next few games will be sharpening and improving our defensive strategies. Our team will largely look to Adia to make that happen. Molly McMasters and Leah Bouwens stood out offensively as they attempted to capitalize on every offensive opportunity. I am confident that we have a lot of potential and room for improvement and look forward to working toward that and watching it happen.
