Following a deluge with a heavy storm, the weather held off for the duration of the game. FHS came back from a 2-0 deficit, then from being down 3-6 to come back and tie the game in regulation. Two minutes into sudden death OVERTIME an FHS goal was whistled back for offsides, and later again in the second overtime. There were a number of other close offsides for both teams that would have required fitness and close observation for accuracy. The winning goal came from a 30 yard looping kick. Although the refs were considering calling the game for darkness, the two teams showed no hesitancy or difficulty in completing the two overtimes, thanks in part to an slightly earlier start time of 4:45.
