The fields at Jones Road in Baldwinsville leased by Faith Heritage were unplayable because of excessive rain, so the Athletic Directors were able to work out an arrangement for playing the game on the Fabius Varsity Field on what turned out to be a bright sunny late afternoon with occasional clouds on a well drained and well kept field.
While their JV team played another school on the adjacent field, the Fabius-Pompey Varsity upheld their own despite some relative youth (after losing a large class of seniors from last season). This year's seniors were instrumental in the decisive victory, while the Saints were forced to play their better ball handlers in the back to limit the Falcons' chances scored on two corner kicks. an own goal, fast breaks and two crowded goals in the box. As an aside Faith Heritage missed a penalty kick in the first half which bounced off the inside post, across the box to be met with the powerful foot of another incoming striker-alas! too powerful to put it under the crossbar.
