After scoring in the first two minutes, Bishop Ludden, initially fielding 21 players, braced its lead with a direct kick from thirty yards that slipped under the bar. Unfortunately, the scorer later had to leave the game after a hard ball hit her hand to no further advantage.
Ludden was unable to extend its lead until late in the second half when a miscue from the sideline resulted in an open opportunity within the box.
Faith Heritage substituted its four bench players more freely in the second half but redeemed the afternoon with a late corner kick volleyed in at the near post by Emily Rollince.
