A tough first half gave Stockbridge many opportunities and shots, but Richfield Springs keeper Brugan Graves stopped all but one. However, Stockbridge came out firing in the second half scoring their first goal of the half :28 into the period. They followed that up netting another goal in under two minutes. The Cougars rode that momentum to two more goals throughout the half to seal the win in their first game of the 2022 campaign. Stockbridge shelled the Indians with 44 shots, and Graves stopped 19 in the net for Richfield Springs. Riley LaLonde and Ben Jantzi put in two goals each for the Cougars while Osvaldo Coc Chub and Evan Baker added one apiece. The Cougars face either Waterville on Saturday in the championship game sponsored by the Waterville Sports Boosters.
