Marcellus's youngester CeCe Powell scored a hat trick in this sectional semifinal vs. Lowville in Lowville. The visiting Mustangs scored the first three goals of the game before Lowveille's Mis Hanselman scored the lone tally with 13 minutes left in the match. Powell's first goal at the 21 minute mark of the first half was assisted by her sister Janie Powell. Her second goal with 3 minutes left in the first half was and unassisted counter attack that saw her carry from lear midfield to goal to put the Mustangs up 2-0 at half. The 3rd and most brilliant goal was a second service off a corner from Claire Card that Powell volleyed into the back of the net at the 18 minute mark of the second stanza. Team defense sealed it for Marcellus and they are moving on from the 11th seed to the semi-finals.
