    The Presidents improved to 11-3, 10-1 in Section VI, and 6-1 in the Yale Cup Large Schools with an important win over the 8th ranked small school Lewis J. Bennett, Wednesday night. Iprep was led by senior guard Versi Hawkins who had 25 points , 6 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 3 steals. Senior point guard Angel Serrano added 19 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals, while tandem senior point guard Dante Gibson had 9 points and 4 assists. Junior forward Emir Lindsay, the team's leading scorer, had 11 for the presidents while pulling down 6 rebounds. Senior forward Omarion Arroyo, a mainstay for the Presidents on the glass, had 14 rebounds, 8 points, and 2 assists. Arroyo hit two significant triples in the game which bolstered the Iprep lead and put pressure on the Tigers down the stretch. Seniors Angel Serrano and Omarion Arroyo made several key steals in the late fourth to hold off the Tiger comeback. The Presidents' free throw shooting was decisive as they were 18 for 29 (62%) and 10 of these were in the fourth quarter. Iprep will play at MST on Wednesday, January 25th, before returning home to host Hutch Tech in another Yale Cup League I match-up.
