Supporting Athletics in Section III in 2020-2021
2020-2021 has been very uncertain for everyone involved in the education of young people. Certainly no one could have envisioned what it is that we are asking of our teachers, students, and administrators. We all hope for the time when we can return to a new-old-normal and students and teachers can be together in the classroom and coaches and student-athletes can return to the sports teams they love.
While in this time of uncertainty, High School Sport Stats has been working to improve the site and its features and functionality for the sports we partner with in Section III. We will be serving some sports we have agreements with soon, and we are also using the features of the site to be able to work with others we have yet to hear from.
The featured panel at the bottom of this page shows what the sports we support and those we might support would see working with HSSS.
We look forward to a return of high school sports and the sports we support when the time comes, and we stand ready to answer questions from sport coordinators interested in the work we could do for you to help manage your seasons and prepare you for your post-season.
Feel free to contact us. It's a good time to have a conversation and prepare for the future.

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year and Sports Seasons
HSSS is a website that was inspired by the work that Phil Abel did in seeding the Section V Boys' Basketball Tournament from 1992-2018.
The vision is to start with seeding reports. Starting with your seeding points system, Programmer Joe Frenia has customized the site to accept a game score by a coach, and the logic and mathematics does the rest. There will be updates to the seeding report, team schedules, player stats, media reports, and playoff brackets.
A coach simply registers and is approved by the section Administrator. The Coach enters the team roster, schedule, and a photo. The rosters and schedules can be managed for additions and date/time changes through a season. At the end of a game, on game nights, the coach or designee, logs on to the system, and enters a score and any game statistics. It's simple, the fans, parents, players, and media will love it, and at the end of the season, the leagues will have the tournament brackets ready for finalization leading to the playoffs.
HSSS is currently accepting sectional members from New York State. We are also encouraging any league looking for a simple season's management tool to contact us for further information.
