In a thrilling first round of sectionals, Oriskany/Westmoreland faced off against the Jordan Elbridge Eagles, showcasing a competitive and intense matchup. The first half saw multiple lead changes as both teams battled fiercely, exchanging baskets in a display of skill and determination. However, in the third quarter, Oriskany/Westmoreland took charge of the game. With a tight defensive effort, they limited the Eagles to just 6 points while igniting their offense, scoring an impressive 21 points.
Jackie Downs led the charge for Oriskany/Westmoreland, who delivered an outstanding performance with 19 points and secured 11 rebounds, demonstrating her dominance on both ends of the court.
