The Waterville Eagles opened the new year by hosting the Weedsport Wolverines on a snowy Friday evening. The Eagles held leads throughout the first 3 quarters and held off the Wolverines 4th quarter surge for a 63-52 win.
The Wolverines were led by Mason Kocur with 18 points, Brady Docteur with 13 and Trevor Moon with 8. Weedsport falls to 5-3 on the season.
The Eagles were led by Jackson Ruane with 33 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Braydon Decker scored 13 with 7 boards, 4 assists and a block. Allen Morey added 12 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. The Eagles improved 5-2 on the season.
