Each team knew that this would be another great match up before it even started. Homer displayed some smart defensive tactics off the opening kick and it was definitely a battle between the top 2 goalies in the league. After a scoreless half, Hannibal was able to take a 1 goal lead when Amber Clarke cut the ball back to a trailing Zoey Turaj and Zoey put it up and over an outstretched Catherine Apker 5 minutes into the second half. Homer did not quit the entire second half but dome great defensive plays from Hannial's back four and the keeper, Sophia Salladin preserved the win, and Sophia's second consecutive shutout. Hannibal moves to 3-0 in league play and 5-1 overall.
