Evenly played for the first 28 minutes, but following a missed blatant handball (the third
in ten minutes) in the Phoenix box, a fastbreak resulted in the first goal for the Phoenix Firebiurds. A slew of defensive errors in the next ten minutes closed out the first half to reveal a lopsided six-goal advantage for the away team. Phoenix used the second half to exercise its bench of nine fluidly as the three Saints subs provided hard fought relief to give Faith Heritage a few more shots but a scoreless second half for both teams.
