    Phoenix wins the Mexico Tournament by defeating Oswego on Wednesday August 31 and then beating Red Creek in the Championship game on Friday Sept 2. Senior Ryan Schlachter of Phoenix was named MVP of the Mexico Tournament by posting 2 goals and 3 assists over the two games. Phoenix Senior goalie Soloman Campbell put together two solid games in the net with getting a shut out win in the Championship game. It was a great team effort and a great start to the season for the Firebirds.
