Iprep nicely rebounded from Friday's loss at McKinley with this come-from-behind victory over East Buffalo. The Presidents outscored the Panthers 31 to 17 in the second half and erased a 9 point half-time deficit en route to an important league win. Senior Omarion Arroyo led the team in rebounds and steals and factored critical in the in the final minutes as the Presidents closed out the game. Arroyo had 9 points, 13 boards, 4 steals, and 1 blocked shot. Junior Emir Lindsay led the President scorers with 15, 3 of which were triples. Senior center Biel Douth turned in another double double scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Douth also blocked 5 Panther shots as rim protector. Senior guard Angel Serrano led the team in assists with 4 and also added 4 points. Senior Versi Hawkins scored 11 points and had 4 rebounds and 2 steals, while senior point guard Dante Gibson had 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 3 steals. The Presidents will face South Park Thursday night for a showdown to take sole possession of 2nd place in the Yale Cup Large School League.
