Iprep improved to 4-2 on the year and 4-0 among Section VI opponents with a 77-45 victory over City Honors Monday night. The Presidents were led by junior forward Emir Lindsey and senior center Biel Douth, who combined for 50 of the team's 77 points. Lindsey hit 5 three's on the night en route to 31 points and is currently the team's leading scorer. Douth turned in 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while blocking 2 shots at rim protector. Senior guards Angel Serrano and Dante Gibson continue to give the Presidents stellar ball handling and control of the half-court offense. Serrano scored 10 and Gibson added 7 as they combined for 3 more triples and the team converted on 12 three pointers overall. Gibson had 10 assists and 5 steals to facilitate the fast-paced President offense. Serrano added 6 assists of his own, while senior Omarion Arroyo pulled in 5 rebounds off the glass and scored a field goal for Iprep. The Presidents tip-off again tonight versus Yale Cup league opponent Hutch Tech at 6pm. They will look to sustain and build on the energy and dynamism that has carried them since winning the Wilson Invitational ten days ago.
